Hudson ISD's focus on academic excellence is much deeper than just preparing students for any state assessment. While we are mandated to participate in all state assessment requirements, students are prepared through rigorous curriculum and instruction. We believe that teaching content at a deep level of understanding, coupled with 21st century skills, students will be more than prepared to meet minimum expectations on state assessments. Our goal is to prepare students for an exciting career or post-secondary education upon graduation from high school.

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has a multitude of resources for students, parents, and educators. Two key responsibilities of the Texas Education Agency are assessing public school students on what they have learned and determining district and school accountability ratings. TEA provides an array of reports based on the results of student testing and other assessments. Another key function of the agency involves testing and certifying educators to make sure they are prepared to deliver high quality education to the state’s schoolchildren.
